| It was almost as if we were there. But Congradulations sounds like you and momma did a wonderful job and great puppies. And really great help from your supporters at YT.

| Thanks again to everyone who was so quick to help!!! Everything turned out great! Mom and pups are doing wonderful today. All of the pups are gaining weight and eating well. Mom is eating and drinking well too. She also has had no loose stools or vomiting! She is a trooper and a wonderful mommy! This whole experience has been so amazing. What precious little lives they are!! Pups will be getting their tails docked and dew claws removed on Monday. I do NOT look forward to that Why don't people just like them with their tails??? I am still trying to get some pics up, but I am having trouble finding the cord to my camera! I will get those up ASAP though! |

| If I am correct it is an antibiotic shot just in case a placenta is still in there. That is why you need to make sure ALL placentas are accounted for. They can get an infection; get sick and possibly die if not treated. I also agree I don't think the whelping experience is that gross (I have a stronger stomach then most others ) Anyways congrats on the new pups!

| The pop shot is a shot of oxytocin. It makes the uterus contract and it's supposed to clean out any retained placentas or dead puppies. |
