| ![]() What is a normal weight gain in new born puppies? Mine have been gaining about .5 - .6 oz. ea. day, but today the little girl only gaines .3 oz. and the others gained their normal .5-.6 oz. Is it normal to fluctuate like this? ![]()

| ![]() Depending on birth weight and adult weight...they will gain differently...as long as she looks nice and shiney and plump everytime you pick her up...and she is nice and strong I would not worry!

| ![]() My friends yorkie had her puppies last week, i have been weighing them daily from about two days old, they started at 4oz , some of them are up to 13oz now. one of them is only 9oz while her sisters and brothers are 10 to 13oz. could she be sick, and how do i know? i am really worried about the way they are being cared for, they are always being left alone for long periods of time and mom gets out of the gate and i don't think she is nursing them well. what should i do? |

| ![]() Sounds like a pretty normal weight gain. As long as they are gaining and not losing. All puppies gain at different rates depending on various factors such as number in litter, amount of milk mom has etc. |
