breeding Renny
 
I bred my Frankie to Renny yesterday and today. Seems like I was just on here yesterday catching flack because I wanted to name him after one of the dogs in his pedigree, Rothby's Rene-Gade (gator). Still named him Renegade with a different spelling. Anyhow, he has matured up quite nicely and hopefully will be going into the show ring in Feb. His pedigree is to die for. Several lines present, Crosswinds, Shomar, Tea Time, This Time and a few others I can't remember without looking at it. I might end up keeping all these babies.;) Well, maybe not, Frankie has had five in her litters every time. Whew, that would be a bunch of babies under my feet. I have enough trouble doing the yorkie shuffle around Kandy and Ceeby's babies that are still here. Anyhow, I am looking forward to seeing what kind of babies Renny throws. I hesitated because Ceeby 's babies are always gorgeous . But, Renny's babies will no doubt be gorgeous also. They will be due the middle of March.

Thanks everyone. i just know his babies will be pretty. Not so sure how he will do in the show ring tho. He was born to show. That's clear from his pedigree but his front legs are a bit floppy. We are working on it tho.

Really though, not quite this soon for me, but we're definintely contimplating another female sometime in the future.

Pat, they just seem to go every which way.Or at least they look like they do with all that hair flying. He is a happy guy in the ring at class. Lots of things we have to work on because at his age he will be in with the "big" dogs and probably won't have a chance but with hi s pedigree and all that show stock in him, I feel I have to give him a chance.

Congratulations Dee.....I can't wait to see them....:D . I may want another one sometime, but March is definetly too soon for me....I have my hands full with Gracie (Ms Thang), I would have to bet she is the meanest puppy you have ever had....LOL. My husband said "you bought the meanest yorkie in the world". Maybe she isn't really mean, but she definetly does not get pushed around by her brother and sister....LOL. They spent the first two weeks on the couch where it was safe from her and they still have to run there to escape "Cujo" sometimes....:D . I wouldn't have it any other way, she has brought lots of excitment to our house....;)

They are all so different, such different personalities...just like kids. It is never boring here. Gracie is my second yorkie and I guess I was expecting her to be like Hannah....WRONG, she is the total opposite....:rolleyes:. But like I said, I wouldn't have it any other way....;)

Stop telling your"kid" he is not going to win...go in the ring with the attitude you are "allowing" the judge to examine a wonderful Yorkie, you are giving the spectators a treat to watch your Yorkie show...how you think will effect how he shows...scolding over..!!!!

i told you right from the start, she is the instigator !!!!!!!!!! She is trouble with a capital T and her siblingss all used to hide from her. Hell on paws:D pardon the expression.

oh, I don't scoldd him nor tell him he won't win. If attitude was all it took, he will be a champion in no tiome at all. He just throws that tail up, legs floppinmg to the side, head up and you ought to see him go!!:D He THINKS he's got it goin' on!!!!!:p

5 generations back is not close but with Le Chaz closer it looks good. This little guy should be able to stand on his own. When I was in NY last year I walked up to Bobbie (Rothby) and proudly announced that I have a dog out of her gator. She kinda rolled her eyes and said "how nice". I wondered a little until I realized that he's in half the dogs in this countries ped. My mentor told me Sunday to stop telling people where Connor came from and tell them where he's going. LadyHawk..I had to laugh at that one....I did the same thing. I walked right up to Roberta and told her I had a Gator son..She said.."how nice for you"..then, "how did someone who does not show get one of my puppies.." I had to remind her the sale was "approved" by her before hand...she told me to breed him well and finish his offspring...I did and I did..LOL

Perhaps, some will recall seeing Renee Emmons show...she would stack her entry on the table, step back a step, arm extended and present the dog as a masterpiece.

In a pedigree, you want to consider the first three as most important...past 3 is icing...the first three are cake.

I don't know why you think there is nothing closer than five gens back. i counted 11 champions just now in his three with Ch. Crosswinds Custom Imprint being his grandsire. As far as Roberta and her Rothy's Rene-gade, my Renegade is only named after him. I believe I said that. I am not hung up on the line. I think it is nice that he is in Renny's pedigree and I really liked the name but the stuff in the front of renny's pedigree is just as impressive, maybe more, than the stuff at the tail end of it. depending on who you talk to.

The cake on this one is a lot better than the icing. But it is all yummy!!!:p But, that is a funny way to say it. i would have loved to have seen Ms. Emmons.

Also wanted to add, that the only reason I mentioned his pedigree was in conjunction with trying to show him. He has all those genes from everywhere and he ought to do really well.
