| Chances are slim. But, they usually have a growth spurt at about five months and again at about seven months. Mine have always been finished growing after the seven month spurt. |

| She could gain a pound in the next 3 months though she will still probably be too small for breeding. There is a growth plate in the forelegs just above the ankle where you can feel when her legs are done growing. See if you can get your vet to show you where it is so that you can monitor her growth.

| My Sissy was 3 lbs 8 oz when she was spayed at 6 1/2 months old. She then gained a little more weight and peaked at about 13 months old at 4 lbs 5 oz.

| My first girl was 4# at a year and is now a 5.5 pounds and not heavy at all for her size. Some of them grow structurally but do not put on the extra weight to their frames until they get closer to a year. Praying for you that she makes it. I have a girl myself I am watching but she does come from a smaller line that matures a little slower. Best of luck to you!! |

| Thanks everyone, she is actually not mine. I was talking with a breeder. She has a female available that is a show prospect and she has great conformation except for the fact she is only 3 lbs right now at 5 months. So I wanted to ask what the chances were. Her dam is 4 1/4 lbs, not sure how big her dad was though, forgot to ask. I wont take my chances on her, I am looking for a female that is a show prospect. I am doing lots of research on breeders and whatnot. Its a lot of work! I am in no hurry, even though im anxious to get my next one. I want to be sure the next one I get has lots of promise for me. I am checking out the kennels in Hungary.. |

I do however have one that is 3 lbs at 12 months. She is underweight though, she is a very picky eater and I am struggling to get her weight up. I hate that she is anorexic I can feel her spine and I dont want anyone to think I starve her. I have three different foods i offer her, she picks at all of them. Last night I started mixing her some raw hamburg mixed with showstopper and Dyne, hopefully she wont get tired of that too fast... | |

| chances are good I think she will get bigger but like the professional breeders said it depends on the lines she comes from and even then its a guessing game my boy was not 3lbs at 5mths but now at 1yr.and a half he is 4.4

| I would hold out for a gal that should be 5-6 pounds as an adult, they seem to do better in the ring.
