I need a Mentor for breeding..

Genetics, breeding and pedigree studying can be accomplished by books and attending classes....and I'm sure you know what tests need to be peformed. A toy breeder to assist you and guide you would be ideal.

I have PM'ed the poster...I would be happy for help find a mentor, but she needs to be open with me about her Yorkies and goals...I can not ask a friend to mentor someone who has purchased pets to breed, with no desire to start correct..be open to shows, joining clubs..etc..

No offense taken, I know its not something that can be taught over the phone but I think it is alot more easier to hear someone that is experience talking to me then me just reading books and searching on the net. I mean it would be great if someone may/could invite me to there place when it all starts but how rare is that?? Also the bitch may not be comfortable when there is a stranger there, right? And I know it is going to take some hands on experience but we all have to start somewhere And I dont think everyone is fortunate to have hands on experience before there own. JMO.. I mean I know there are ppl who's parents bred when they were kids and they do it and so on.. But me I am the first one in the family to do that (although my mon has seen it). But its not like she bred on her own.

I just love my babies and I just dont want nothing to happen to them AT ALL.. That is the reason why I am asking around for mentor.

So u want to know my goals?? I am and will be open w/u as long as I know what questions u are asking.. I am open to show and joining clubs. I have been trying to go to shows and see how it is. Pls dont make it sound like I am not trying to be open w/u.. I am seriously not trying to HIDE ANYTHING. I have no reason to hide.. I am just trying to gather some info's.
