Signs of whelping??? Ok, Juliet is 60 days along today. She kept waking me up last night digging where she was laying. Now this morning, she is panting. Just sitting there panting. Do you think she's going to start whelping today?? |
Well, even though those are good signs of impending labor, I think we've all seen those same things described on one day and still have the female go a few more days before whelping. My Lexie basically did the same thing the day she whelped; woke me up whining, couldn't get comfortable in bed with us, didn't touch the breakfast I offered her, then a short time later started shivering (not panting). Before too long we had puppies coming. But as soon as I saw her shivering, I took her temperature, it was 99.5. Have you taken Juliet's temperature this morning? You probably should. Let us know what it is and keep us updated on her progress. G00D LUCK! |

She is and has been sleeping on the couch...so we'll see. |
It sounds if she is close but you never know, but with her panting sounds like she is in labor but it may take awhile:) hang in there, and keep us posted:) |
