First of all, KiKi is ADORABLE!! Our trainer said licking releases endorphins in dogs, so basically, it makes them feel good when they do it (sort of like us eating chocolate, I guess . I don't think it's a major concern.

Bailey does the licking thing. I don't worry too much about it. Usually when he is getting ready for bed he licks his front legs and sometimes the sheet. It used to bug but I know if I leave him alone it stops within a few minutes. It seems to be his way of relaxing? So I read before I go to sleep and no one tells me to "STOP READING". When I have told him to stop his feelings get hurt and he bails. When I come in from a long bike ride he licks the sweat off my face. Is that gross or what? I don't think so and he seems none the less for wear and I enjoy it so we are win-win here?

constant lickingi took charlie to u.c.davis in san diego. they told me that the licking was boredom. i am suppose to change what he is doing by playing ball or tug of war, etc. i also give him a bully stick to just stop the action.. the doctor told me that if they get fixated on a foot eventually it could be a disaster for him.

KiKi has this obsession for licking...but now it is always after she eats...she loves to lick the couch or the pillows...and when she can't get those...she will even lick the floor! Other than that she will give lick us a little and she always cleans her feet!
