Crazy Day

It has been a crazy day, and tomorrow will be crazier. I got a call this morning from a gal whose Yorkie is in need of emergency surgery - for a probably intestinal obstruction. She is in California and tried to contact every rescue organization she could find online - she contacted me through our private rescue, and I was the only person to respond. Boy, did that pull at my heart strings. Anyway, her little Yorkie boy needs surgery and every vet in her area charges about $3000 for the procedure he needs, and she just can't afford that. She applied for care credit and was not approved. She contacted rescue organizations, hoping to find one that would take her boy and get him the treatment he needs. She didn't want to turn him over, but is willing to do ANYTHING to save his life.

Anyway, after talking to my vet, she can perform x-rays and the surgery for about $150 - $200, so the Yorkie from California is going to be coming to Missouri tomorrow! I am picking up the owner's friend and the Yorkie at the airport in the morning, and we will be going to my vet for treatment. I am so happy that I was able to help in this situation.
