oki guys, I am graduating in Mid-May with a Finance Degree and Econ Minor. I have been looking for jobs with no luck. I am starting to regret going to school and actually feeling a little bit like a failure I dunno what to do. I dunno if I am looking in the wrong places, or if my resume is not as good as the other people. I have worked my current job for 6 years, since I was 15 but now I feel like if I stay then why I did rush through college to finish in three years in order to feel like a failure? Hmm.. I dunno what to do.

Failure? Are you kidding me? 21 years old and a college graduate with a finance degree? And your own Yorkie???? You've got the world at your feet. I know it can be frustrating getting started, but once you get a foot-in-the-door job, it'll be smooth sailing. Even if you don't like it, you'll have a paycheck coming in while your resumes are out doing their work. Keep your chin up. Believe me, you don't want to be out in today's economy without a degree -- or a rich daddy. Just keep plugging away. And be proud of yourself for all you've accomplished.

your right.Your prob right. a lot of the jobs require experience in the related field, perhaps once i take something, get experience, it will be easier.

Just be patient. I felt the same way when I first graduated from college and had to settle for a job I was overqualified for for a whole year. Just keep trying...best way is to put yourself out there as much as you can. make your resume stand out (easier for me to say, I know)! Go to job fairs especially ones that will have your companies of interest there. Also if you have friends/family/classmates in the same field, keep in touch. you never know who will be able to help you. It really helps if you know someone and they personally refer you. Good luck and be patient. And, yes be proud of yourself

My daughter is a financial analyst and tells me that the job market is just starting to open back up in her field after a year of lay offs and financial cut-backs. Your timing might be perfect, just keep at it.
