![]() | one thing you can try is chicken. Especially white meat. it has a lot of protien in it. sasha went from 3 lbs to 7.5 lbs in 2 months eatn alot of chicken. Just dont fry it and if you do dont give her the skin. hope this helps. |

![]() | My Yorky weighs around 6.5 pounds, she eats 1/2 cup of Pro-Plan for small dogs each day. Sometimes she will eat a bit more. Don't change her food suddenly, find out what her breeder or where ever you got her from, fed her. Then mix that food, 3/4 of familiar food with 1/4 new food and feed her that way for a week, then the next week change to 1/2 and 1/2 for a week. Follow up with just a bit of some Nutrical just before she eats to get her appetite flowing. Don't overfeed or you'll have a fat Yorky which is just as unhealthy! Chicken should only be given as a special treat and only a tiny amount! Y our vet can help you with how much she should be eating and how much she should be gaining! |

![]() | I know this can be more than frustrating, because, like children, you worry that they are not getting the nutrients they need to sustain normal growth. Abby08 has great advice. Chicken should be given in moderation and not daily. The Nutrical is an excellent product for supplementation. You may also want to get a high quality wet and mix the dry with the wet. It's much easier to eat and much tastier. You can increase the amount of dry over time and eventually do away with the wet. I have a highly finicky female, and I leave her dry food down all the time. She normally only eats a few bites in the AM and then during dinner time. She gets daily treats (either rolled up piggy ears, dried duck strips, dried sweet potato strips) and has no problem eating those... ![]() |
