Scratching

My puppy has been confined to just the livingroom but we recently had to take up the gate that was down the hallway because we had plastic on the ends to keep him from crawling through so he started taring at it and biting it so we had to take it down but we have the doors to the bedrooms and bathrooms closed. But when we go in a room we let him in with us but then he has to come out with us when we leave. He does fine with that but if we need to be in the room without him like me trying to exercise in the morning he doesn't like it at all. He starts scratching on the door and even on the other bedroom doors when he knows someone is in there asleep.
He is really bad at this. Any suggestions on how to get him to stop this. It is very annonying to us all especially my daughters who haven't gotten up yet for school at 5 in the morning when I am trying to exercise.
He will not let me exercise when he is in the same room he is barking at me and biting at my feet and legs. It is horrible.
I tried putting him back in the crate while exercising and he growls at me and barks so that doesn't work.
He has been a very challenging yorkie. It seems like we get through one thing and then something else goes on with him.
He does really well about peeing in the morning after he gets up outside but it takes him forever to poop out there. I usually end up having to bring him back in when I have to go to work and let him be confined to the pet pen and he goes right away when he is in there.
He always pees and poops first thing in the morning really well inside the pet pen on the pads but when you take him outside he pees quickly and we keep him in the right spot without letting him roam but it can take him 30 minutes. It is so unreal.
Any help out there!!!!!! Please anyone.
Suggestions......the biting is finally getting better by using the bathroom when he bites us etc and when I say no alot of the times he stops so this has improved tremendously.
Need help with the scratching.....he is one of these dogs that wants attention 24/7 and we just don't have the time for that and he needs to learn we can't.
He needs to learn I am the pack leader not him and I am trying really hard to make him see that but he wants to be the ruler.
He is a very excessive barker. He will bark at the dumest things. He barks at the trash can in the living room. If he sees something that he has never seen before he will bark (in the house).
Thanks for any help!

stop barkingTry this: When he barks ignore him... When he stops barking give him a treat. He will learn that barking is not appropiate and silence is rewarded. | |
