Separation Anxiety advice requested, please help!

I have two yorkies that are both almost a year old, they are from different litters but have become very close over the past few months. My fiance and I broke up and I can no longer handle two dogs.

I have found a family to take the pup that is a few months older, he is a male; I know he'll be fine because the family already has two other dogs. What I'm worried about is the younger one who is a female, I will be keeping her. I'm just scared she will not know how to handle to separation.

If anyone has some advice on how to help her deal with this more smoothly I would really appreciate the feedback! I work from 8-4pm everyday and I'm afraid she will become extremely clingy and needy now that the other dog will be gone.
