Why does my yorkie act crazy before bed?

Every night my yorkie has been acting crazy when it's time for bed. She calmly lays on the bed, then she starts to "dig" the sheets, she rolls around on her back, bites the air, growls, and generally flips out. I have to pet her to calm her down, and usually while I do that, she's biting at the air and growling (playfully). After about 5 minutes of this, she goes to sleep.

![]() | Ha, Ha, so does mine!!! He runs in circles, rolls around, tries to play with me, jumps on my pillow and on my stomach. He does this for about the same amount of time, as yours does, then digs at the sheets and is sleeping in two minutes. Strange little creatures! lol |

![]() | LOL, Bree does the same things, she even bites my ankles. Every night she does this thing where she falls on her back and cover her face with her paws and does not move until I pick her up. I swear they act just like little children. |

![]() | It never ceases to amaze me how Yorkies have similar personalities and I'm so happy to be part of this group, otherwise, I would think JC is a bit pixilated. Does anyone have a baby who barks non-stop when the windshield wipers are on? It's crazy, but when it's raining he gets in the car and is vigilantly waiting for the wipers to go on. When I put them on he goes absolutely insane!! I mean like jumping, circling, growling, barking, shaking! He flips out! I've tried to stop him, but NO WAY!!! In fact, I was on a longer drive tonight and I thought, I'll just let him bark and see how long it takes him to stop. I was actually laughing to myself because he was so crazy! He went on for 5+ minutes, fell asleep for 5 minutes, woke up and flipped out again for another 5+ minutes. I went through 40 minutes of this. Does he have emotional problems? Also, does anyone know why they go in circles so much? My neighbors think he's mentally challenged. I don't think he is, but I don't know enough about the breed to know about their silly actions. Thanx for any feedback. ![]() |
