My long journey to ROXY!

For 3 years I wanted a yorkie, would shop the internet for days, then decide I wasn't ready for all the day-to-day care. A year later decided her name would be Roxy. Still shopped for her & talked myself out of it over & over. All the while I never mentioned it to dh who is an avid big dog fan... a little dogs were worthless kinda guy. By last winter I was weakening finding it harder & harder to talk myself out of it. DH started mentioning getting a dog. I repeatedly said, "No big dogs in the house again...ever!" One day I felt I was finally ready & had been shopping again. DH brought up the subject again, I agreed & said that she would be a yorkie & her name will be Roxy. He just said OK. (What???) He had always won out with his big dogs for many years. It was my turn, right? Found my Roxy & pursued the deal. But wait... it's the dead of winter. Didn't I promise myself I'd never get a pup in the winter?!?! Ohhh mannnn!!!
Couldn't get Roxy for another 3 weeks. Really bummed me out, but that gave me time to spend a fortune on dog stuff & be ready. During this time I swear I had morning sickness most days. Feeling nauseous off & on. Geez, I've worked with animals for years & never felt like this. Having a little tyke like a yorkie was a first for me & I was like a first-time mom!
We've had our little sweetie since Jan, & couldn't be happier with her! What fun she has been. She's just so happy all the time & makes us laugh a lot. BTW, she & dh are very good buddies too. He's taken her for rides in his big tractor complete with basket he rigged up for her to ride in, bike rides, etc, nap together too. He doesn't even seem to be sorry she's not big in size.
It's hard to imagine life without this sweet girl! LUV my little 'Girly Girl'!
