Do Purebred Yorkies sometimes look like Chuahuas?

I just got a male and female from different litters. They look completely different and I'm beginning to wonder if my female is actually purebred. She's ACA registered but I just can't shake the fact that she looks like a mix. She has the smallest head and big ears that stood up since day one. When she runs her tail end curls up just like a Chuahua! I looked online and saw Yorkie/Chuahua mix pics and wouldn't you know....I thought I was looking at my female! When I talked to the breeder she assured me that she would look completely different in about 8 months. Have I been scammed or could this be true?

![]() | Hi rebecca, from the sounds of it you have a yorkie. My yorkie looked like a bat dog when we first got him his ears where totally unporpotioned to his body. His ears stood up from about 8 weeks onwards and have never redropped, apart from the slightness of one ear for about a week. Im not too sure about the tail situation, but if she is registered you shouldnt have too many problems. |

![]() | By the looks of the pix she is totally yorkie! Her snout is just a tad longer than the male. Yorkies all look different when they are pups! My Lexi had JUMBO ears that stuck up that were twice as big as her body! LOL! Don't worry in about 5 months or so she will look completely different! |
