A Little Scare

I just had the biggest scare. My yorkie was starting to have leg pain. She has been limping and hobbling all over the place. At times she would put weight on her legs but other times she would avoid it. Crazy thing is she would still run and jump all over the place when she felt like it.
We took her to the vet and they gave us 5 days of pain meds and told us to confine her to the crate. We did but it seemed the limping had gotten worse.
I then did research and ran into an article on Calves-Legg Perthes or something like that. I am sure I didn't spell that right. But that is when the dog's hip and femur bones rub together and start to deteriorate. The only way to help with that is expensive surgery and I was starting to get worried. We ended up paying $400 for xrays at Petsmart and found out that nothing is wrong. Such a relief. But there is apparently still some type of issue, maybe a sprain, because the limpin is still there. It has now been a month.
I am glad that nothing serious is wrong but I will be glad when my baby is feeling better.
