Need help with Yorkie

I would not give up just yet. Do some trials with friends/family. Have the approacher hold some treats in his/her hand. When this person nears you, and the dog starts up, put the dog on the floor and have the person stoop to the little guy's level and feed him some treats. Do this in all situations where friends or family will be coming over. If the dog is biting at the entry or door, teach him the back/stay command, and reward, reward, reward. When the stranger enters the home, have this person feed the dog some treats. After a while, the dog will associate people with good things, with treats.

Now, when the dog is alone with say the babysitter, when he snaps or even bites, have her remove the animal to a "bad place," i.e. a garage, a bathroom, etc. Never use the "bad place" as a "good place," for play, feeding, etc. Make sure he is not removed to a playpen where he can see everyone. He has to be alone. When the whining stops, let him out. Keep removing him each time he exhibits this biting/aggressive behavior. After awhile, he will associate his snapping to the bad place and the behavior will be extinquished. This worked for my 8 month old and my snapping 4-year-old. A vet visit wouldn't hurt either. There may be health-related issues for his aggression. I would try the behavior mod first and see what happens. Good luck with your furry piranha... Lisa, Lilly & Jesse

My 2 year old male is acting aggressive about his kennel door just recently. I have no idea what has brought this on. He goes in his kennel, comes out and looks at at me which meant come cloe my door....now he acts like he is going to rip my hand or head off. I need help please!
