Should I start a petsmart training class?

This is my first time ever posting a blog so I hope I do it right....I want to get my baby in a training class, I think its time they said about 12 weeks old. I live about a mile away from a petsmart and they have training classes there once a week for an hour...Im afraid to take him because he gets really hiper around other dogs and I dont want to be embarrised in front of the class...should I do like a personal one hour session or should I try the class with all the other dogs...its my first puppy I need some advice?
