Leo's Vet Visit

Today was a follow up visit to the vet for my Yorkie Leo, he's 11 months old. Last week I took him in because he was walking without applying weight to his left hind leg. When he ran it was only on three paws instead of all four. We did a wait and see. He didn't get better and he didn't get worse thank goodness. My vet told me that Leo has lost some muscle mass in this leg. That led him to believe this problem was more then two weeks and more like several weeks old. He is running a series of blood tests in case the specialist needs them. I get the results tomorrow afternoon. My vet ruled out any broken bones. He did say he could not "pop" the knee in place because he didn't want to cause more discomfort, but could feel the "wiggle" in the knee. I am scheduled to see the specialist on the 21st of July. I was curious as to how many other have had a similiar issues. I try my best to keep puppy rested but as many of you know yorkies are active. I was told that surgey may not be the best answer given his age and weight. He may be able to overcome this naturally. I would appreciate all view points, however, I will do what is in the best interest of my yorkie, Leo. Thank you for taking the time to read this.
