My Dear Heidi
Special you are my dear little friend,
Our days together will never end.
I miss you so much even though you are here,
So far from my touch but yet so near.
You were my true friend through thick and thin,
No matter the situation you always let me in.
Such unconditional love you always gave to me,
I felt I could never return until I set you free.
You let me know our time together on earth needed to close,
And I had to send you home as God only knows.
It truly broke my heart to let you go,
As every day I miss you so.
You taught me life lessons that happiness avails,
Seek the good in life as love and kisses prevail.
You touched my heart so deeply my precious little friend,
I will seize the day we are forever united to the very end.
