My foster mom is new to blogging so please try to understand if she isn't too good at this.
When I first got to my new home I was very sick and could not move very well. My neck and legs were very weak, so I didn't walk much. Something was wrong with my ears too, they didn't have any hair like other yorkies and little pieces of my ears were falling off.
My other owner didn't know what was wrong with me, the doctor didn't tell her. She was going to have a new baby, (the human kind) and could not take care of me any more. So, I got to go to my new home. That's okay with me though, because here I have lots of friends!
My new best friend is a poodle named Louis. He worries about me a lot, he won't leave me by myself very often. At first he would sleep on a the hard floor next to my pen. Then my new foster dad put a bed by my pen for Louis, so now he gets to sleep by me every night.
My new foster parents are very nice and take good care of me. They have very good food here, it's supposed to be good for my liver, whatever that means. I just know my tummy thinks it's great!
I get to go outside here and like that, the sunshine feels good. Louis lays on a blanket next to me. One day when I was feeling really good, I got up and walked for a few feet. My mom loved that....she said I did a good job. My walking made her so happy, water started coming out of her eyes....what is that about?
I've been here a couple of weeks now and am getting stronger. I can hold my head up and it doesn't bob around like it used to. And, just because it makes my mom so happy, I've been doing more walking.
Oh, and my ears? Well, they are looking lots better too. Mom says they are pink now instead of all black and are much softer. It's probably because of that stuff her friend told her to use on them. It stinks real bad, Louis told me that when he moved away from me last time mom used it.
Love,
Forrest
