Help... Ants!!

Help... Ants!!

I have had a really bad phobia of ants since I was little and now I'm tackled with this BIG problem... every time I walk my Hercules his feet are covered in tiny black ants when we get back home!! I hate them, and most of all he HATES them. He chews on his feet for like a half of an hour and sometimes whines before he eventually falls asleep. It breaks my heart to see him suffering like that, and I itch at the idea of ants crawling on my baby. Is there anything I can do to stop this, a sort of repellant something?/ Please Help, it's so frustrating.
