my little yorkie boy has ASTHMA! help!

I got my little yorkie boy from Canada last year! he was 1.5 years old, when I got him! now he is 2 years old! he was 3-4 lbs, very tinny! I love him! but few months later, I took him for rid or going out, he sew had breath problem, he just made very loud sound, it take few mins to comming down, I took him to Vet, they found out he has ASTHMA, I do not know how can I fix him, is it any one know about that? or any yorkie owner had that experence? we are locate in Hawaii, I do not know because between Canada & Hawaii the weather such big difference, that will effective problem, but my house around 75 digree whole year around, we got mostly trade wind all the time, also, I have other female Yorkie come with him, she is same age but more bigger, she is 6.5 lbs, she did not have that problem! if any one know more about that pls let me know! thanks!
