Donna @ Johnnas yorkies

I have had yorkies for the last 20 years. There is just no other dogs as far as I'm concerned. I do have a question. I have a little male that has separation anxiety, and if myself or my husband gets out of his sight he starts howling. He started this after I got very sick and was not at home for about 3 wks. What can I do for him. He sounds so lonesome and sad, I feel so bad for him.

![]() | Awww... I remember when collie used to do that! He used to howl if I went out the room and he couldn't get to me! It's not an easy thing to deal with at all because it's not nice for you or the dog, I appreciate how you must be feel right now. I used to praise my Collie when I was out of sight and he was quiet, I'd rush back in the home and give him a ton of praise and he soon came to realise that it was better to be silent then to make loads of noise. I'm sure that if you posted this question on the forum you would get lots of helpful advice... or maybe you could do a search on the forum for seperation anxiety and I'm pretty sure that would bring up members previous questions and answers on this. |
