Crystal's Blog # 2 - Exercising your human
Now don't get me wrong, I enjoy my chew sticks, toys, and the other secret bits I've gathered in my nest to date. However being eclectic in taste I sometimes like to acquire by personal selection. I had a Eureka moment whilst chewing his reading glasses up today (they're plastic by the way - cheapskate!). Why not I thought combine two tasks in one? We all need to keep our humans healthy, so here's a few tips for when you exercise yours and why not combine a bit of shopping at the same time. It goes like this, get yourself organized, especially when attempting more than one thing at a time n.b. men humans just can't keep up here girls, by the way. So be;
1) Itinerant in your acquisition trail.
2) Be both creative and varied in your searches, don't stick to one category.
3) Keep at it.
The first directive is very helpful when they first wake up. This is always a good time, as they're a bit slow on the uptake and stumble about for a while? I check Dad's night stand without fail, to see what bitsa's he's forgotten to hide up, before the big sleep. Then Mum, if she's not working or shopping or those times when that little thing that buzzes in the mornings doesn't - if you get my drift. She a positive department store - all those trinkets, artifacts and something they call make-up? I especially like those little pointy things she puts in her ears sometimes - mmm yummy, they crunch up so nicely for an afternoon chew-up. Girl humans have loads of stuff for you to get at, take my word for it and they're always getting more at regular intervals, so don't ever worry about running out!
Secondly, keep em guessing girls? Don't be proud, grab any and everything. A few tips, cloths, always a reliable standby this one. Both mine have nice little snatch size jobbies they use with those window things they wear on their faces. Top tip: Keep alert for when they put down trays of things especially. They can't cover everything at the same time - great fun and they love it too, I know cos they get all excited and we end up having a game of chase just before I poke it somewhere really creative for them to have a good old creak to get at. Although they mutter and splutter especially the old man I know it's one of his favorites, as he keep coming back with even more trays for me to play with!
Lastly and my speciality - 'Keep at it'. When you let them get something, always have another target selected in advance. It's useful, to have this next pick up adjacent to where the original came from. In this way you can return to the replacement faster than they can! Also, rely on them getting distracted by the sheer joy of retrieving the first thingamy, as you grab the next and we start all over again, oh the joy of movement - Remember its important to keep them healthy in mind and body. Enjoy!
