What a big girl!

Ellie has changed so much over the past week and a half! She has really started coming out of her shell and her yorkie personality is starting to shine!
We made it through the new home transition, her first major worming, and a pretty scary couple of days when she wouldn't eat.
Ellie is learning to use the puppy pad more consistently and she had her first accident in her crate last night...but that was my fault for feeding her too late. She has made her first major car trip, been shopping at Target, and she saw her first softball game yesterday!
She has started eating "dry kibble mush" (is completely off of the canned stuff) from a bowl on her own and is finally drinking water from a bowl as well. She is a super messy eater because she is still learning how to pick up the food rather than licking up the food but we are coming around!
Ellie's "stunts" keep us laughing everyday! She thinks she is 10 feet tall...in true yorkie fashion...and is so funny to watch her "attack". Her latest "stunt" was performed last night. I put her in her crate, said good night, and climbed in the bed. After laying there for about an hour, she started crying and whimpering. I sat up an looked at her crate and saw her climbing out of her bed and going over to her food bowl...assuming that she was just a little hungry, I layed back down. A few minutes later, the whimpering started again...this time when I sat up I could see that she was standing on the edge of her bed pawing at the side of her crate but it looked like she had something in her mouth...hummm Time to check her out...It was her food bowl! She had gotten her bowl, carried it to her bed, then climbed up on the side so that she knew I could see her and started whimpering...all of this just to get Mom's attention! What a hoot! She didn't need to potty, still had food and water, and the warmer was still on in her bed so she wasn't cold...she just wanted some Mommy lovin'!

![]() | Oh my gosh! She sounds so cute!! ![]() That is just too funny and cute! As I was reading, I tried to picture her standing there with her food bowl in her mouth. Just way too cute. She sounds like she's doing quite well. So very good to hear!! ![]() |

![]() | I did take her into Target. I had to make a return right after her first vet visit and I wasn't going to leave her in the car! I don't know if it is anything I will be able to get away with for a real shopping trip but I will give it a shot! |
