I need help...I think I baby him too much!

ok well, suzuki will be 8mths next week and i got him when he was only 8 wks old. Since then i had to feed him myself or else he won't eat. At first i didnt mind because the food (innova puppy) was too big and he was so tiny so i didnt mind. but now hes big enough and he wont eat unless im sitting next to him and feeding him. now im swiching him to wellness becuse it smaller and kind of softer but i need help getting him to eat by himself and tips please!
