New to Yorkie talk and need help

First of all, I can't figure out how to post to the main section for help...so am trying this blog.
Now for the important issue. The breeder that I am getting my 2 new yorkies wants to keep them longer. They are 11 weeks old and not eating well. My vet says the most important time for bonding is 8 weeks. She wants to keep them for at least 2 more weeks and then if they are not eating well, then another 2 more weeks. Why can't I feed them the wet food and baby food that she is doing? I will appreciate any help.
