I don't know quite how to put this, so i'll just throw it out there! Brody will be 5 months on the 9th of this month, for the last couple of days his penis (pink)has been coming out several (3-4) times a day

. He also has some thick discharge with it

. He's been his normal playful self doesn't seem ill, so is this doggie puberty or something else? Never seen anything like this before i'm a little lost.

I am not too sure at what age they start to get "ehem". Maybe someone else could give you an answer. Siu Pao's pinky started coming out that way when he was about 7 months old. No discharge though. Drop your vet a call and ask about it if he isn't acting like himself and see what they say.

If it's an infection he would be licking it all the time and there would be a bad odor. If the penis comes out and doesn't go back into the sheath then I'd take him to a Vet. It sounds like a normal puppy thing right now.

I'm not ready for that with Cody!!!!!

He's almost 9 months and never had that happen. My youngest son asked if he could give Cody on of his stuffed animals and I said No, I'm not ready for that yet! Although he has tried with the cat.

Awww, you know what happens with late blooming teens..... they go twice as crazy. Boy are you in for it!!

Now if you want something to worry about, Coby tries to convince his big brother Reggie the Shi Tzu that he's a good stand in for a stuffed animal, let alone a girl!!

Chip started at about that age. He'd stick his lil red rocket out, hump his beds (despite us telling him no and trying to distract him), then a few hours later he put it back in it's home... there was no discharge though. I only noticed a pin drop amount once or twice a month or so ago, but that's about it. He got neutered on the 28th and since then he's tried to hump his pillow once for about 2 minutes and tried to hump his other bed once for about 1 sec. I guess it's just not the same any more without his manhood! lol

Try to call the vet, just to make sure it's not infection. Also, try to trim the hairs in that area... it could be getting caught on them!

Sounds perfectly normal to me. I'm sure it's not exactly what you want to see day in and day out, but that's boy doggies for you.
