| ![]() Stella was spayed yesterday and they removed 9 teeth ![]() She's a tough little girl, she ate a little canned food when we got home around 6:00. The vet sent a syringe of pain meds home for last night which I gave her around 11:30, she wasn't whimpering or anything just seemed a little restless. She hasn't had any pain meds today and I've had to really be on my toes to keep her from jumping on the sofa...it's a real job keeping a 4.5 lb furbaby still. I don't remember who had the onesie idea but it's working great, she has stitches on the inside and the incision is glued on the outside. The vet told us licking could cause this to open so the onesie has taken care of that problem, and another plus is she looks so darn cute in it. Thanks to YT I felt a little more secure going into this...and knew you would be there if I had a question. |

| ![]() I was thinking last night I have to get a picture of her in the onesie. She's much more subdued in the onesie than "naked" so that helps with the jumping. I think her energy level is back to full steam today. Thanks YT'ers for all the good wishes |

| ![]() www.pocomutt.com has a "healing band" for princesses that have been spayed .... go take a look. It worked great for me. and I am so happy to hear she is doing well. These babies surely are resilient. How old is she? Friday got spayed in April when she was 5 months old.

| ![]() Glad to hear she's doing well! It's so nervewracking when they have surgery... Milli was spayed a week ago Friday-and though you know it will be ok, it's still so hard the day they go in, and even harder to see them when they're still coming out of the anesthesia. Before you know it, she'll be back to herself-probably in the next day or two! Then you'll be trying to keep her calm and from bouncing off the walls. Milli was running up the stairs within the hour we brought her home-sometimes you just can't keep these puppies down for long. We too used onesies, and they're great. Just make sure to unsnap them long before she needs to potty. Otherwise you'll be changing lots of onesies and doing laundry! We learned this the hard way a couple of times with both furgirls. Oh, and remember to take the onesie off at least 1-2 times a day and brush your furbaby, especially on the arms, chest, and top of her back. The onesies can cause matting if left on for a long time. Can't wait to see your little onesie-butt picture. I just love their pointy little tails poking up on their onesie covered behinds! It's adorable!

| ![]() Glad to hear she's doing just fine. We were always cautious with Missy as well. She kept trying to lick her stitchings, and yes she succeeded at times, but it never got infected, thank God. Also, the Vet didn't allow us to cover it with something (like onesie and what not) because it does need some fresh air to heal better. |

| ![]() She doesn't wear the onesie all the time, only when we can't keep a close eye on her. She hasn't had an accident yet, I take it off and she goes to her puppy pad. Unsnapping just doesn't work for this girl, she wants it OFF! The vet didn't want to put an e-collar on her and thought this was a good idea. Her incision looks great, she's happy and already being her little perky self again, She is 6 1/2 months old and weighs about 4.5 lbs. |

| ![]() Not a dumb idea at all! Yes, little boys can wear them too. I've seen others post about that. Tink wore them too - I just cut a little tail hole for her and it was so cute and worked very well. My vet also thought it was a great idea. Glad Stella is doing well and hope she heals quickly and isn't is amazing that they want to jump off the furniture after having their insides rearranged! ![]() |
