| Donating YT 11K Club Member | Do any of your yorkies suddenly start running back and forth really fast out of nowhere? OR chase you trying to bite your pants? OR get something they're not supposed to and run away from you and have you running back and forth after them? lol Teddy does all of the above. Sometimes I think something has gotten into him. But it's fun! And he gives me plenty of exercise! |

| Yes and Kodak wears me out with that, and he'll have the nerve to know how to hustle you. That's where he plays like you can take the ball from him, but he holds it down with that weak azz paw.

| The "zoomies" is what alot of people call that type of behavior. It's very useful to teach a "get your toy" command to use at such times. That way, they can channel that excess energy into something a little more positive!

| LOL.... wow that's what I did, I say 'Go get chicken' or 'where is chicken' and he runs to his basket and gets his toy. Any toy, I don't even know why I say 'chicken', he seems to like the sound of it much better than 'toy' LMAO

| Grayson get's those bursts all the time, but what kills me is when he has something he shouldn't and comes to me and opens his mouth so I can see it and then takes off. He is actually running back and forth right now! Silly doggie!!

| Toto does that too when she want us to play with her! She gets especially happy when I turn on the vacuum .... like it's fun! Yeah, Toto, it's fun!! She will grab a toy and bring it and run until her little tongue is hanging out.

| Yes,Ellie does this too. We say she's having a mad half hour. The other two dogs look at her gone out, like whats up with her?The collie sometimes tries to chase her but Ellie is far too fast and nimble for her to catch.Very funny to watch,Especialy when the collie doesnt know which way to go and ends up in a heap on the floor.Looking at Ellies little face I'm sure she's laughing too.

| Folding clothes is Ben's favorite. He will dash in and steal a sock and off he goes! If I don't come after him right away he runs back and forth in from of me to tease me into chasing him. It has become a standard game. He will dance along beside me when he sees I am carrying clothes. IT is my fault as we gave him a sock with a knot in the middle for a toy -- that has evidently made all socks fair game.

| Lovin' 2 Girls Donating Member | YES! Abbie gets "the zoomies" every night. She'll loll about most of the day, then late at night, start tearing through the house like she's hyped up on something!

| Yes, both Hootie and Hobbs do all of the above!!!! They will get food out of their food bowl and throw it around, lunge at it, run in circles around it...they will also get ahold of my pants legs or slippers (while I'm wearing them) and literally attack them. It's quite amusing to say the least. |

| Glad to hear that other Yorkies have the same behavior. Rudy does this, especially at night time. Like last night after we left him out for the last time, he came in the house racing thru the living room behind furniture and then just layed on the sofa. He also tends to want to nip at our pants near our ankles. But then we tell him No and he stops but of course he has to have the last word by barking after that. Take Care, everyone.
