| ![]() Help! Our baby is five months and is now teething. For the past three days, he does not eat or play like he use to. He threw up once this morning and ate a little bit more after that. I called the vet and he told me to change his food to soft foods. I don't know if that is a good idea to change foods in the middle of all this. I am scared he might get diarreah-i think i spelled that wrong...anyhow, I added water on his food and he ate a little bit, but I don't know if I should listen to the vet... What do you think I should do? Thanks for your help! |

| ![]() Teething is a troubling time for them, and sometimes it just takes them awhile to become comfortable again. Our dogs in the past have experienced the exact same thing. Don't worry, he'll be fine and come around soon enough. As far as the food thing, I don't think I would switch to soft food completely. I might just mix in a little soft with the normal dry that you give him. You obviously still want him to eat, but the dry might be a little tough for him because his little mouth is aching. Switching over totally to soft food might make his little tummy upset, and your right, will probably give him diarrhea. Hope that helps! Good luck! ![]()

| ![]() We haven't experienced this with Teddy yet ... but he does chew a lot, so does that mean he's teething? I don't think he's lost any. He's only 14 weeks old. When does this stage begin and do dogs usually vomit? |
