Ok this is going to sound really strange but I'm afraid to let my baby get groomed. He hate being away from mommy and I just can't bare for someone to mess up my baby boy's hair cut

I had a yorkie before him and some made her way to short and ugly at times. I just can't bare for him to be there so long as well i'm sorry I"m obsessed. So... my question is what shampoo brand do you all use? I have shampoo from when he was a puppy but he isn't one anymore sad to say. After looking at many of your dogs here mickey's coat isn't so shinny. He also gets alot of knots he hates being brushed. I trim him of course just did actually but after 5 minutes then thats it for him. He stats to move and i don't want to snip him. I bought child sizzors to trim him. So I was wondering what type of shampoo do you buy for your dogs? and what kind of brush. Thanks so much!

Bentleys hair has a slight wave to it, and has a tendancy to get knotted and matted if I don't bathe him every week. I use tearless baby shampoo on his face, and use a soft bristle tooth brush to wash his face and eye goobies- it works great! For the rest of his body I use Johnson's Buddies no more tangles easy comb shampoo, and once I rinse really well, I spray on a detangler/leave in conditioner and brush him out while wet. Sometime's I even will blow dry him, but he's not too partial to it!
For Nina, her hair is totally straight, finer and less "fluffy" I don't need the leave in conditioner spray, I just let her air dry and then brush her out.

Oh and brushes, I use a slicker brush for getting out the knots and use a soft, ex. natural boar bristle brush for daily use, and putting in top knots.

Use a shampoo formulated for dogs, and one that is gentle and will not strip the natural oils of the dogs coat. Do not use human shampoo, which is not the right pH for doggie fur and skin. I use Tropiclean for puppies cause it's tearless and smells so good, then I use a conditioning spray from Tropiclean as well, you can also use the spray in between baths to keep your baby smelling great.
To get out a matt or tangle I use some baby lotion and rub it on the matt with my fingers and then kinda tease it out. You could also use maybe olive oil.
