I have not heard anyone mention anything about Super5Mix for puppies, it is made by Old Mother Hubbard. another food I just found is: http://www.premium4pets.com/ and here is what they say about why chicken meal: *WHY CHICKEN MEAL? Chicken Meal is just the meat whereas just chicken can contain water, fat, skin and bones. Chicken Meal is a pure meat source because the water is drained and the rest is removed! In addition, make sure if your pet food label reads chicken meal there aren't any by-products (beaks, intestines, animal necks, feet, undeveloped egg etc,) in the food. I tell you, I'm so confused on this food thing, cause read what this says: WHY SWITCH TO LIFE'S ABUNDANCE PREMIUM HEALTH FOODS? Although the maximum life span of our dogs and cats is estimated to be about 25 to 30 years, the average pet lives only approximately 13 to 14 years! NUTRITION IS AN IMPORTANT FACTOR After all, you are what you eat! Take a few moments to check your pet food label. Does your pet food contain the following ingredients: Corn or Wheat - If 2 or more cereals like corn and wheat are among the first 7 ingredients on your label, your pet may not be getting the animal protein it needs to thrive. By-Products - Animal necks, feet, underveloped eggs, intestines and beaks. Although a comman practice, would you knowingly feed these to your pet? Chemical Preservatives - BHA, BHT or ethoxquin are considered by many professionals to be harmful to animals. Life's Abundance Premium Health Foods are formulated by Dr. Jane Bicks. Dr. Bicks is a highly respected and nationally recognized authority on the natural treatment of animals. She is the author of three books on pet care and nutrition and is the recipient of three Presidential Citations. Dr. Bicks has served on professional boards including the Cornell Feline Health Center. She served as the President of the Veterinary Medical Association in New York and was appointed by Mayor Rudolph Giuliani to help start the largest animal shelter in the U.S. Quality Food + Daily Supplementation = Optimal Nutrition | |

BANNED FOR NOT MAILING PRODUCTS PURCHASED | I went to are local pet store (pet supplies plus) and they do not carry this brand, I asked her if she could order it and she took down the info. They do carry the treats though and I have tried them before. I did pick up a bag of the Nutro Ultra and so far Lillie seems to like it, so when I get the sample I'll see if she likes it better. |

Anyway, Old Mother Hubbard and Wellness are somewhat different by made by the same people as I understand it. Old Mother Hubard is the treats and bisquit brand but the food is called Wellness.

Phantom Queen Morrigan Donating Member | i feed my cat wellness and he likes it a lot. i was going to put my new puppy on it but i decided to go with natural balance instead since i can get it at a local pet store. Wellness is hard to find sometimes because they don't like big chain stores carrying their food for some reason. they like the smaller specialty stores to sell their food instead.

| Bought this today! I didn't even remember that that brand had been discussed here, but I bought the puppy 5 mix today. Zoie loves it already. I mixed It in with her old food and she's digging it OUT to eat IT!!! The ingredients looked pretty good on it and it does have fruits and veggies in it. |
