Hello Everyone
Well about a month ago my baby Hershey started to do something
really cute every morning ...My partner gets up at 5:00 a.m every morning for work...By the time shes ready to head out the house she comes back to the room to give me a kiss good bye...Hershey sleeps with us in bed...When Hershey hears her coming back to the room he quickly gets up and sit right by my face waits for her to lean down to give me the kiss and then he snaps at her...lol ...She trys it again and he'll bark and snap again so she'll kinda moves back...Hershey then sits on my chest an will not move...When i move him to the side he will run back as quick as he can and start to bark...Its really cute but kinda scary...I dont understand why he just started to do that ....Should i stop this??

LOL I'm sorry but I have to laugh - that is SOOOO funny and cute!!! I do believe your furbaby is quite jealous! He probably enjoys the alone time he gets with you after your partner leaves, and possiby may be a little bit jealous that your partner comes back into the room to interrupt. How about if your partner comes in and gives him a kiss first with a little rub on the head, and then leans in for your kiss? Maybe he'll enjoy the attention and not be so threatened when your partner tries to kiss you. I dunno, just a thought. I hope it helps!

That is cute, he loves his mommy....

But, be careful. Stop it as soon as you can. I'd hate for him to bite someone while trying to "protect" you and get in big trouble for it. Teach him it's not okay to bite or snap at anyone.. ever... for any reason!

sounds like a good idea to me. when we first got Buckeye he snapped at our grandson because he was giving grandpa a kiss. this was the one and only time he has done that. I let him know right away he couldn't get away with that.
Makes you feel loved tho doesn't it???

My mom and her Yorkie Rocky use to go through kinda the same thing::::

My step-dad wakes up earlier than my mom in the morning, well he always came back to kiss my mom by b/4 he left. Well, Rock figured it out and now when he hears my step-dad come in then he runs and sits right in front oof my moms face so he can get kiss kiss by first.

Maybe your partner could pay a little attention to the pup b/4 kissing you .Maybe that will let the pup get her lovin and then you can get yours. Just something to try. That's all Rocky is worried about, he just wants his attention and kisses bye b/4 my mom gets hers....LOL

If I were you, I would try to get him to stop this behavior. One of these days he might go a little farther than "snap" and that would really be bad. I really feel that you have a jealousy issue on your hands. I agree that your partner could kiss Hershey first and then you. You might even need to hold Hershey away from her after he gets his kiss. I had a jealous Chihuahua that would draw blood and as time went on, he got worse and worse. It was cute at first but escalated into a real problem. If you can't get it worked out, I would seek the advice of a professional trainer. Good luck with all that kissin!!!

everyone for giving me your opinions i really needed that...It
was really cute and funny at first but some times it got me a bit scared
thinking this may get a bit further that just the barks and snap...So my
baby will get the first kiss every morning hopefully that will work

that is so sweet and i know it is hard to correct when your baby is loving you like that.....in the truck my hubby always goes to bed b4 me because he has to get up where i dont i can sleep in while he is driving...Bo goes to bed with him because i usualy get on here to post and cant sit in the fron seat holding him while on the pc there isnt enought room....anyway my point here is when i lean over hubby to give him a kiss b4 lights out Bo will run up pn my hubbys shoulder between me and hubby and while i am kissing him Bo will lick us right in the mouth it is so cute and he never misses a time....he gets the alone time with hubby while i am online and then alone time with me while hubby is driving early in the morning while i am sleeping so it works out well i guess lol.
