| Eyes and Tongue lol I messed up and haven't been as through about cleaning Freya's eyes. Now she has lil crusties at the corners. What do I do? I do keep her brushed, but it isn't easy lol. She hasn't learned to stand and be still. Her tongue sticks out--just a little bit--often. Is that hanging tongue syndrome? I looked sticking out tongue up and found that. I'm a nervous type daddy lol. |

| Hi FreyasDaddy, You are such a good daddy. I use a plain water on a clean cloth to dab at that crud you find in the corner of her eyes. Once it is nice and damp, it should loosen up. You may want to use a fine-toothed comb to make sure you get it all out. LOL--I don't know about hanging tongue syndrome. You can have the vet chick her bite to learn if it she has a little overbite, etc. (That is usually knowable at 6 or 7 months.) It's good to know that anyway. |

| I keep a clean wet wash cloth nearby at bed time. That's part of our nighttime ritual. By doing it every night I keep the crud away from her eyes. Gidget hates to be messed with (keep her in a puppy cut) but by doing this every night, it makes it easier to keep the crud away. |

| I clean all of mine with a wet cloth at bed time. One of the reasons dogs stick their tongue out is to regulate their temperature. My puppy does it because he lost all his baby front teeth so there in nothing to hold it in lol.

| I get a small bottle of saline type s9ution from my vet to drop in their eyes during the day if they get crusty/dry. And then we do what the other are doing every evening except we use moisten cotton balls!

| I use warm water on cotton balls, this softens the crud and easy to comb out.
