| ![]() I can barely remember the original series but do remember the fuss everyone had over watching it. I have been watching the reruns on CMT so I can get some background for the new series of Dallas (comes on TNT Wed. Nights). Anyone else watching it? I am loving it. I know JR is the "enemy" but he is so fun to not like. His tough one liners are so darn cool. Lol |

| ![]() I watched the first two. So far it hasn't the pizzaz of the old Dallas to me but we'll see as time goes on.

| ![]() Oh, they were something - especially the first 3 or 4 years. Later, a lot of people lost interest as it stayed on too long but it was fun to watch for a long while. I remember waking from surgery the night the J.R. shooter was revealed to ask my sister at my hospital bedside who shot him! I could barely talk from anesthesia & was asking about a TV show. That was the impact that show had back then. I wish this one could approach that one's fame.

| ![]() I remember EVERYONE talking about it and making sure you were somewhere you could watch it on Friday night, I think that was the night, right? That's funny you worrying about that after surgery. ![]() |

| ![]() I'm pretty sure it was on a Friday. I remember in the O.R. before "going under" all the staff was buzzing about the show that night. No one was planning to go out that night! Everyone was staying home & some were going to Dallas parties.

| ![]() Boy, I was such and addict during the original series. I missed the moves that were made over the past few years so I was kinda lost this past week. I agree, it wasn't as gripping as I remember from way back. I will continue to watch it for a while as I just love the original cast memebers. lol, I think the epsidode exposing JR's shooter was the highest ranking show next to superbowl. I remember that there was the highest rate of toliet flushing after the show ever at the time. lol

| ![]() Am watching the third episode of Dallas remake. I'd forgotten how cold & deadly J.R.'s blue eyes can look at someone who attempts to cross him!

| ![]() LOVED the original series and have been watching the new series on TNT every week. i like it! i think it's pretty good. really like how JR, Sue Ellen & Bobby characters are the original actors. that really helps. if they had used other actors i'm not sure if it would be as good. they have a real chemistry that adds to the show and makes it more believable to me.

| ![]() I wish Victoria Principal was back as Pamela. Like the crash was a dream or something. ![]()

| ![]() I was so addicted to Dallas back in the day, never, ever missed a show. Every Friday night, I would never go any where until Dallas was over. I have been watching the NEW Dallas and so far I do like it.

| ![]() Well I was WAY too young for the first Dallas (started in 1978 I was born in 76) but my in-laws remember it, loved it and have been watching the new ones. They LOVE it! I think the hubs & I are going to chill out tonight (raining, no kids) and settle in to watch the new series, catch up. Hoping its good, I need some summer shows to watch!
