| ![]() I just got a 7 week old Yorkie mix. I only saw the mom who is a Yorkshire Terrier, but not sure who the dad is. He's 7 weeks, but I think its interesting he's not as furry as a Yorkie should be, right? I am not sure what else it's mixed with. Any ideas? ![]() |

So I have no idea what kind of person you got your puppy from, but I sure would question them. It's cute, but not likely any Yorkie at all.

| ![]() I would say it is part Min Pin, Chi, or Doxy, which are all very short hair breeds. Therefore it would be possible that this puppy will never grow long hair like a Yorkie. It all depends on which genes it inherited. Very cute though! I am sure he will bring you so much joy.

| ![]() We met the mom and saw the litter - and the mom definitely looks like a full Yorkie with long hair. We didn't see the dad. I think it might be mixed Chiuauha although the woman claims the dad is a Silky. Here's a better picture. |

| ![]() Such a cute little boy. I say Yorkie/ doxy. But it makes no difference, he is so cute. If you really want to know, do a DNA on him.If you do, make sure all breeds that are possible, are on the list, on the test. It is a shame he was taken from his Mom so early.

YT Addict | ![]() Looks to me like a beagle/dachsund/chihuahua and maybe some miniature pinscher or not, I donno. The tail is docked though unless it was born that way? Possible it could have some yorkie in it, but maybe the yorkie "mom" was acting as a surrogate mommy? Look at the pups paws, if they are big, it will tell you it probably has some kind of "larger" dog in it than a yorkie. They look to me in the picture to be larger paws, but pics can be deceiving lol. Whatever he is, he is a real cutie. Looks very mellow from the picture and so teeny tiny and fragile looking! Adorable!

No Longer a Member | ![]() Me too although I can't imagine even a byb would allow a male beagle to breed with a female yorkie even a large one. Maybe your breeder was a bit dishonest about the breed of your pup. You could always call him/her and ask about the father, but I doubt that the mom was a purebred yorkie, there is too many other breeds dominating your pups features. The short hair, the large snout, the large paws, and even the coloring looks too far off, then again colors are subjective to the breeds mixing, plus his nails appear to be clear extremely rare find with yorkies.
