| ![]() Daniellaventurer1@hotmail.com - SO GET THIS SCAM - I went on line - putting in Google Search for Yorshire Terrier for Sale in my area. This one came up - saying she had a boy and girl. I emailed her and asked about the girl. She emailed back, asking me several questions about my background, lifestyle, etc. etc. and said they have had 2 sets of shots, tails etc. come with a health guarantee, all kinds of toys, crate etc. I emailed back a limited info on myself. She has now emailed and said she is in Manchester, England, and she needs $150 immediately from me, and she will get my address and she will register the puppy and get a flight for her, and delivery right to my home......this is her email - what do you think of this??????????? I am not that gullible or STUPID but who knows how many she will scam. I don't even think I can trace her - should I email her back and tell her I am on to her???? ![]()

| ![]() Perhaps you should chronicle your emails with this person here: http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/off...s-here-40.html "Pretend" you don't know she is a scammer and see how much of their time you can waste.

haha. Love it! Oh and i agree with Sashabear0430! I remember when shopping around for a yorkie a couple years ago and kept coming up with people from Cameroon, even when perusing "local" ads! ![]()

| ![]() Out of curiosity, I watch free classifieds online for things like this. The pennysaver online classifieds are FULL of scams....I e-mailed one just asking general questions about their puppies and the info I received was similar to what you posted. I think the people that I e-mailed were in Africa, though. They wrote with broken English, etc... So sad that people actually trust a scam right in front of their eyes!!

| ![]() They do write in 'messed up' English, not broken. I just went through this same kind of scam last month when I was in Florida with my son and daughter in law. They saw an ad for a SUV on Craigs List. They answered and the guy said he was in the military and just got posted to Arkansaw. Could they put the $4500 in an account they used on EBAY!!! Following up - it was a SCAM. Unfortunately, a friend of the family lost $4000 two years ago - he believed them....I wonder it I can report it to Hotmail, or someone???? My husband says no, as so far, with me, they haven't done anything wrong......

| ![]() I responded to an ad like that and got the same kind of reply, but in my reply they were a minister and his family that had just gotten 2 yorkie pups before they shipped overseas and once there realized they couldn't keep then. They are now 12 weeks old! LOL They were WILLING to give these wonderful house trained puppies to me if I would just send them the money to ship them to me. I really did laugh out loud! I wasn't born yesterday. What I wondered was : How did they get the puppies overseas without going through quarentine and wouldn't the time in quarantine mean they had to now be over 12 weeks?

| ![]() I got hit with one of these scams as well, when I was on the search for a yorkie before I found Riley,,They were from camroon, and everytime I emailed them back thay would reply and tell me they needed money for shots, ( I never sent money) then I would get another email saying they I airline needed money for insurance to cover the puppy, then I they emailed me again saying the airline said there was another shot they would need , that they were not aware of. that it was a new policy. and the thing that tipped me off right away was the way they wrote the emails, very bad english and spelling, they told me they were in Michigan, and I thought well for someone being in the usa, they sure dont write like it, and I started checking it out, and found out about the scam in camroon.

| ![]() What scammers... ![]() They are giving the puppy away because they can't afford to care for it, however, they want you to pay shipping costs, but when you tell them you can drive to see the puppy, you get no response! What people will do for the almighty dollar. There was never a puppy to begin with. I hope people are smarter than this. So sad! ![]() |
