| ![]() I need some advice about feeding times. I'm bringing home a 4-month old little girl in a couple weeks and I'm unsure about the timing of her feedings. Her current mommy is able to stay at home and free feeds her. Unfortunately, I work during the day. I will be crate training her for the first month or however long it takes her before I leave her out in the kitchen area. I leave every morning at 7:45 am and return at 6pm. I will have someone coming in twice a day to let her out for potty and play, etc. What I'm unsure of is what time she should be fed. ![]() |

| ![]() If your day minder feeds her at noon, and you feed her at 7am, and 6pm with a small snack before bed (10pm-11pm) then she will be fine. |

| ![]() I would continue to free feed her. She's young and still growing so she really needs the nutrition. The only reason I would schedule her meals is if she becomes a "porky yorkie" and gains too much weight. I've noticed they eat when they're hungry not when they're bored. If you leave a toy or something to keep her entertained in her crate, she'll keep herself busy until someone comes to take her out.
