I would continue to free feed her. She's young and still growing so she really needs the nutrition. The only reason I would schedule her meals is if she becomes a "porky yorkie" and gains too much weight. I've noticed they eat when they're hungry not when they're bored. If you leave a toy or something to keep her entertained in her crate, she'll keep herself busy until someone comes to take her out.
