| ![]() Posted in Health and diet but there is no much traction there.. ------------------------ I have never brushed SPRINKLES who is now 9 plus months old.. and I have never done grooming at PETCO for that matter. Wife mentioned its better to brush his teeth soon as he has bad breath problems in past few days ...so i took him to local PETCO and the lady said they charge $11 for that... She went ahead and dabbed a long brush head with paste and wiped it on both insides of his mouth....and thats it... I waited there for a few more seconds and she started filling the sales receipt... I was so zapped I couldnt ask her "thats it"....all she took was about 5 seconds and I paid $11 for that. Is this right or what or did i miss something here? |

| ![]() Oh wow, that does sound like a major ripoff and ineffective teeth brushing IMHO! I am no expert but I think we attempt to brush them as we would our children or ourselves. Of course each dog will vary on tolerance but knowing that these little ones have a tendency towards teeth issues, I recommend doing more than that!! I am not sure it is the MOST effective however, Zoey likes the toothpaste and chewing on the brush. I hold the end and move it up, down and sideways on both sides and front (is a 3 sided brush) and we do this for about 5-10 minutes. Sorry for your experience and I am sure others will be here to give their experience and/or advice.
