| ![]() I have a few questions for you wonderful ladies!!! My Charley's hair is usually kept quite short as we spent LOTS of time outside and with working shift work and taking care of my 2 young children I feel I owe it to Charley to keep her comfortable and maintenance free for us! Now with winter coming, her hair has grown ALOT the past 2 months and well, she is due for a groom! Am I being mean to shave her puppy cut style for winter?? I have many sweaters and jackets for her. Even booties. I have NO intentions on leaving her outside for more than the time for her to do her business. What do you think??? Should I just get her face, butt and feet trimmed up and keep her body long enough to stay warm??? Right now her hair on her body is about 1 1/2 inches long. I know that is not enough but her face isquite long and covering her face alot. She hates having her hair tied away from her eye's too!!!! Ahhhh I just don't want to freeze my little baby this winter!!!! Any suggestions????? Thanks Michelle mama to charley (2 years old Yorkie) |

| ![]() I just prefer Jackson with the shorter puppy cut because he cannot stand being brushed. He doesn't really seem to mind. I'll put a hoodie on him if it's really cold but he's fine going "naked" too! He prefers not having to be brushed so it's fine ![]()

| ![]() Yogi just got a puppy cut a week or so ago. I think he'll be okay for a while since he has plenty of sweaters and we keep it relatively warm in the house. |

| ![]() We groom as usual even in winter. If it gets real cold outside then we just put on sweaters and they are just fine.

| ![]() I gave Rocky a short cut in September. I want him to grow a bit of hair for the winter time, just to look different and to keep warm. I do trim him here and there and trim the face every 2-3 weeks, to keep the eyes clear. But I think its up to you. I just like the winter look with longer hair. |

| ![]() I keep Callies hair cut short all the time and in the winter she has a shirt on everyday or a sweater depending on the temp.

YT 1000 Club Member | ![]() One thing about keeping them cut shorter is that if you do put sweaters and things on them, the hair doesn't matt as bad. When Roxie's hair is longer it matts and tangles so bad with clothes on. I've tried and tried to grow her hair out but I prefer it shorter on the body. Just less messy and less to deal with. I don't think it's mean. I think it's practicle.
