| ![]() I noticed some (maybe 5 or 6) small brown spots on Olivia's back and she has been scratching. She is on Frontline Plus. I gave her a bath tonight and filled the sink with water; I did notice a couple of fleas in the water. Could these brown spots be flea bites? Should I take her to the vet? She has a grooming appt at PetSmart on Saturday - will they take her if these are flea bites? ![]()

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | ![]() Yes - I'd take her to the vet asap to either confirm fleas - or to ask for a skin scraping. Skin issues can get so out of hand so fast - and suddenly your baby is in all kinds of trouble. There are so many things it could be, but I'd get it diagnosed correctly via seeing fleas/flea bites - or the scraping. ![]()

| ![]() The little brown spots are most likely flea dirt. Give her a bath with dawn then put a flea preventative on

![]() I know it wasn't flea dirt (poop) - it looks more like a slight scab but a brown color. It does look better today...but it still makes me nervous. I don't want her to get some kind of funky skin thing going! I posted this later into Health, so I need to let this thread end. Sorry!
