| ![]() My Mac is almost 14 weeks old and I train him with treats (broken up into little bitesize pieces). But for other times that I want him occupied - I'm wondering when I can offer him a chew-treat that will last a little longer and keep him busy for 10 minutes or so. I have a small rope-chew that I put in the freezer but he doesn't care for that yet. I also have a frozen chew-treat which he does like but only for maybe 5 minutes before he gets bored with it. Is he too young for Bully Stick (if I can even find them in local petstores)? Is there anything else that lasts longer than a minute or two? I'd like the treat to be healthy for him and good for his teeth too. ![]()

| ![]() In my experience yorkie's are attention grabbers so they need to bug you often hahahaha. My Jini loves to play a golf ball. It takes about 15-20 minutes before she would stop and pant. |

| ![]() Stormy was 4 months when we gave her hers. She loves them! Of course Andy eats them too and he started at 4 months. I buy them from a YT member in bulk. Westbrook Dog |

| ![]() That's great. I'll wait a couple more weeks until he's 4 months. Thanks for the link too (in case I can't find them or if they are too expensive locally)!!

| ![]() What a change a few days makes. Mac now loves the frozen rope chew and chew treat (both articial man-made material). Thanks for the tip re the femur bone - I'll have to get a couple more as I just had to toss what I had due to fridge/freezer failure - had to go buy a new refrigerator yesterday! ![]()

| ![]() yes,, they do get gooeey , i just leave it,it dries up.. they are too much money to just throw them out... sometimes after she is done chewing i throw it in the freezer until shes ready to chew it again... i do throw it out when it get to be around3 inches long.. i usually get the 12 in ones. |
