Default How young to offer Bully Stick?

My Mac is almost 14 weeks old and I train him with treats (broken up into little bitesize pieces). But for other times that I want him occupied - I'm wondering when I can offer him a chew-treat that will last a little longer and keep him busy for 10 minutes or so.

I have a small rope-chew that I put in the freezer but he doesn't care for that yet. I also have a frozen chew-treat which he does like but only for maybe 5 minutes before he gets bored with it.

Is he too young for Bully Stick (if I can even find them in local petstores)? Is there anything else that lasts longer than a minute or two? I'd like the treat to be healthy for him and good for his teeth too. Is that asking too much of a chew-treat?
