my York was very easy potty trained, barks when he wants to go out. he loves the cats and they like him. everyone thinks he's sweet. his barking is about to drive me nuts. he is very picky about what he eat and what he does eat he wants it handed to him.but he's chewed the corners off of my end table. he acts like he can't get a very big piece of anything in his mouth,
except my end table.he loves to go out side and play with the cats. what am i going to do ?he has the upper hand of me.

For some reason he thinks he's the people and home protector and you need to take that roll away from him so he can relax and stop barking. Victoria Stilwell has some wonderful information on how to train that behavior.

^I agree with that, that he thinks he's the "man of the house" and needs to protect everyone. Let him know that is NOT his role, and that he is a dog, and YOU will take care of protecting the house. Cesar Milan's dog whisperer show addresses many behaviors similar to this.

Sometimes we fall in that easy with these little guys. They train us and we want to know what happened. Good luck.

what i can't figure out is why he doesn't chew up my husbands oxygen tubes. these little guys sure are a learning experience.you should see him when the deer come up close to the house. he thinks he's a big dog not a 12 pounder.
