I am so sad reading this. Tears stream down my face and my heart aches for you. I understand that there are many large breed lovers out there but they need to learn to control them so they cannot harm anyone or any other pets......sad....just sad.

This is just so sad...I'm so sorry for your loss. My heart just aches for you, I can only imagine the pain you must be feeling. Again so sorry.

UPDATE:
the owners came by today. the mastiff was euthanized, i feel sad about that..its not his fault, its the owners.
they asked what we wanted in compensation, we asked for what he thought was fair. He is supposed to get back to us. i hope that he does right and pays the bill in full.

teddy is changed, i left today to go run some errans and went i got back he was jumping and whinning at my feet i picked him up and he covered me in kisses...this is unusual..he is not whinny and he rarely kisses..he usually just cuddles.
i think he is traumatized but i enjoyed the affection. he is being babied a lot right now.

we are thinking of saving for another puppy but i am confused for what i want. sometimes i think i want a large dog something that feels safer for me. then i think pom. because i love poms and my neighbor has a litter and then theres a yorkie...but how will i feel with another yorkie? will i compare her to gidget?

just typing out loud here...

Yes, the whole situation is very sad.

I have 3 Yorkies and a Biewer, and 2 Yorkies at Rainbow Bridge. I do compare them all, but not in a bad way. Yorkies are similar, but at the same time soooo individual. Your Gidget was a beautiful girl! She'll remain in your heart forever. Hugs,

When I lost my first yorkie I felt the same way. Will I compare. Well got a different breed. Needless to say I missed the yorkie. So had to get one then two lol. Nothing like a yorkie

Such a sad situation all around for all the dogs and owners. What sweet photo's of Gidget. I am sorry that Teddy feels anxious and I hope that eases but the extra loving is good for both Teddy and you Tammy. I know your heart will let you know which is the best new dog for you and for Teddy.
