| Cruelty to Animals and Violence Towards Humans For those of you who watch Animal Planet this is the Emergency Vet group. They are in Denver and offer on-line courses which is wonderful. I have also taken the gang to them for general vet services as they were just wonderful. They have a huge operation and if you didn't know it was animals you would swear you were in a regular hospital.. Community Learning Series Special Presentation: The Link Between Cruelty to Animals and Violence Towards Humans Violence towards animals has long been recognized as an accurate predictor of future violent conduct. A significant number of notorious criminals have a documented history of deliberately harming animals. There is also a striking correlation between animal abuse and all forms of family violence. This session will discuss the historical perspective of this “link of violence“ as well as the current trends in addressing the topic. Everyday citizens have the potential of combating violence and improving public safety by recognizing the significance of crimes involving animals, and by reporting suspected acts of cruelty and neglect. Note: no photographs depicting extreme graphic violence will be shown. Wednesday, May 5, 2010 6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. (Mountain Standard Time) VCA Alameda East Veterinary Hospital 9770 E. Alameda Ave. Alameda East Veterinary Hospital This presentation is open to the community, feel free to forward to a friend. | Yes mam..He was wonderful and started laughing when he walked into the room and I had 4 furbutts on my lap..Denver and most of Colorado is BIG dogs so it is unusual to see a bunch of little Yorkies running around. He took Bella and showed her to some other people in the office and he just kept chuckling on how tiny she was. Of course she was so sweet for him and even gave him a big lick...what a phony..she is all boss here with everyone else... When I had to travel the gang stayed next door in their boarding facility which I really liked as someone was there the whole time and if someone got sick the office was the next building over and they were open all the time. The only problem is they have a huge play area so all the dogs can play together but first they have to be tested and Moose failed...He went after the other dogs and wasn't allowed to play...Just so all of you know Moose is 4#'s without any teeth...all terrier attitude...

| OMG OMG OMG OMG!!!! I LOVE HIM! Next time you need to take them to the vet, call me. I will be on a plane to "help" you handle the little ones on their vet visit. He is so funny and cute. He takes tap dancing lessons, and he does standup comedy. And he used to be a body guard for the Rolling Stones. I know everything about him. Once I wrote him an email. I wanted to fix him up with my then single sister. She has since married a guy who frankly, is not as good as Dr. Fitzgerald. |
