Dog fighting rings busted - YorkieTalk.com Forums

This story makes me sick to my stomach:
350 Dogs Seized, 30 Arrested in Dogfighting Raids in 5 States - Local News | News Articles | National News | US News - FOXNews.com

They are been talking about this on the news this morning. How can people be so evil and sick. The saddest and most scary part is that these people go around and steal little dogs and cats and use them as bait for these fighting dogs. In some areas there has been a lot of dog kidnappings reported and it is suspected it is because of the dog fighting rings. It makes me sick thinking of someones precious pet being ripped to threads. It breaks my heart. The people that do these things should be locked up and the key thrown away.

Please, everyone, keep your babies close to you and don't let them end up in the hands of the evil ones.

The 4 people from IA are not too far from me here and one is from my hometown. Another guy is a high school teacher

This is very sad. I don't understand how some people can enjoy seeing something so cruel and bloody. Most of the Pit Bulls used for this blood "sport" have to be put to sleep because once they have tasted blood, there's no turning back. Sadly, despite their bad rap, Pit Bulls make very sweet and loyal family dogs.

I feel bad for the Pit Bulls as well. Because they are so loyal they do make good fighting dogs. They just won't quit. It's like going to see a boxing match with two great fighters. Obviously, at the expense of a living creature which is sick.

About 10 minutes from where I live there is an Avenue. On this Avenue you often see a couple of guys walking a Pit Bull. My guess, because of the area and rumors, they are selling drugs and if they get into a problem they know very well the Pit Bull will die protecting them. They know, if they can win the love of a Pit Bull there's no need for a gun. It really is sad that an animal willing to die for there master is used solely for that purpose...
